Ixora sylvatica
Ixora sylvatica, also known as the jungle flame or wild ixora, is a flowering plant species native to the tropical forests of Sri Lanka.
Traditionally, the plant is used in Ayurvedic medicine to treat various health conditions, including fever, rheumatism, and skin infections, due to its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties.
The medicinal properties of Ixora sylvatica are attributed to its high content of flavonoids, alkaloids, and phenolic compounds, which provide a range of health benefits, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and immune-boosting effects.
In herbal preparations, the plant is often used to make teas, infusions, and topical creams, which can be applied to the skin to treat wounds, infections, and other skin conditions.
